Sonoma Creek 1998 Pinot Noir (Sonoma County)

Light in color, almost rusty. Fleshy aromas of chunky, brambly fruit also offer a lot of pepper, both black and green. With good body and texture, you're hopeful for more in the mouth, but the fruit is marred by the essence of veggies, even tasting a bit stewed. Michael Schachner
