A 50-50 blend of two top vineyards—Ciel du Cheval and Champoux, this is Cabernet Sauvignon with 12% Cab Franc blended in. The nose is open and bursting with detail: whiffs of herb, spice, mineral, violets and cinnamon. Strawberry and cherry fruit is annotated with green tea, herb and soy. It's a chewy little devil, more herbal than funky, but fascinating and complex.
