Here the blend is two thirds Cabernet Sauvignon, the rest an even split between Cab Franc and Merlot. Straightforward and unadorned, this wine is tightly defined, with sleek and juicy red fruit flavors. Cranberry, raspberry, pie cherry and even a bit of pomegranate mingle together, with substantial acids. The 50% new oak is barely evident, but some pleasing toastiness seeps into the finish.
