High in acidity, as Sangiovese tends to be, this wine also has the light, delicate mouthfeel of Pinot Noir. The alcohol gives it some body and heat, while the flavors veer toward black cherries. It's a good, interesting wine, although a bit rustic. Won't age, so drink now with rich Italian fare.
