Sorentberg 2016 Rotschiefer Riesling (Mosel)

At 18 g/L of residual sugar and 12.5% abv, this is an unusual example of a lusciously full-bodied but off-dry expression of Mosel Riesling. It owes its structure to intense ripeness that shows through layers of honey, pineapple and yellow peach on the palate. The finish is marked by hints of saffron and honeycomb. Anna Lee C. Iijima
