Soter 2018 Origin Series Pinot Noir (Yamhill-Carlton)

Editors' Choice

One of five AVA-specific Pinots in this new series, this is 100% Gran Moraine (a Jackson Family vineyard) fruit. Ripe blackberry flavors are here in spades, with a tartness that says freshly picked. The wine flattens out a bit on the palate, adding toasty and baking spices as it does. Running out the finish are darker toast and char barrel flavors, with a hint of chanterelle mushrooms.
