Sparkling Pointe 2017 Brut Méthode Champenoise (North Fork of Long Island)

This blend of 54% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Noir and 13% Pinot Meunier spent more than two years on its lees. As a result, salty, nutty and toasty aromas and flavors rise to the fore. Creamy bubbles and sparks of preserved lemon and fresh apple bring levity and life to the more savory, warming flavors. The wine shows nice grip and length, with a saline note lingering on the close. Alexander Peartree
