This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is made with fruit sourced from the Dionysus and Gamache vineyards, planted in 1973 and 1985. The wine was aged for 19 months in 100% new oak. Aromas of cassis, orange peel, toasted walnuts, cedar and freshly mowed grass make for quite a perfume. The tannins are velvety and the wine's mouthfeel is smooth and languid. Flavors like blackberry, earthy sage and a cup of black coffee, with cream and vanilla flavoring, last a good long while. Michael Alberty
