Spectral 2017 Gamay Noir (Willamette Valley)

One of Oregon's better Gamays, this puts a spotlight on a variety rapidly gaining importance among the state's next generation of pioneering winemakers. It's smooth and appealing, with strawberry and citrus fruit in equal proportion. Ten percent went through carbonic fermentation, and 30% whole clusters were included, yielding supportive, proportionate tannins. Paul Gregutt
