88pointsSpring Vale 2005 Pinot Noir (Tasmania)

A relatively lush, fruit-forward, modern-style wine that wouldn't be out of place in a lineup of California Pinots. There are hints of graham cracker or pastry crust on the nose to go with oodles of blueberry fruit, and the creamy mouthfeel and supple tannins are just right. Not that complex, but definitely satisfying. Joe Czerwinski
