St. Francis 2001 Kings Ridge Vineyard Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (Sonoma County)

Smoke and dried spice notes define the nose of the Kings Ridge Reserve Cab. Medium- to full-bodied and more firmly structured than the Nuns Canyon bottling, with black cherry and coffee flavors that merge seamlessly with earth and spice notes. Chewy tannins on the finish suggest short-term cellaring; try in 2008.
