St Hallett 2004 Old Block Shiraz (Barossa)

The combination of high alcohol and ripe fruit gives this wine a sweet-seeming profile dominated by plums and blackberries, but there's also a note reminscent of alfalfa or sweet hay. Ripe tannins impart a lush, creamy mouthfeel that extends through the finish. Joe Czerwinski
