Staete Landt 2004 Pinot Noir (Marlborough)

A plump, round Pinot lavished with oak, this seemed slightly off, in that the fruit had a bit of cooked character to it. Otherwise, this is a very nice Pinot, easily marrying cola, mint and maple syrup notes, and ending quite long. Joe Czerwinski
