Stephen Ross 2016 Spanish Springs Vineyard Pinot Gris (San Luis Obispo County)

Broad aromas of Asian pear, kaffir lime and wet stone show on the nose of this bottling from a vineyard located just minutes from the sands of Pismo Beach. There is a great sizzle of acidity on the sip, with candied apple flavors, slightly sour lime and grapefruit peels. There's also the slightest touch of sweetness. Matt Kettmann
