Stoller 2017 Helen's Pinot Noir (Dundee Hills)

From the winery's oldest block of Wädenswil vines, this ode to a family pie baker is loaded with pretty strawberry and rhubarb fruit, and is very pie-like. Light baking spices complete the comparison, adding pastry notes to an astringent finish. The wine spent time in one-quarter new French oak. Paul Gregutt
