Though a bit lighter than in years past due to the tough vintage, this wine is still gamy and feral as usual, with aromas of creosote, roasted lamb and rosemary layered atop a soft red-currant base. It's light in texture, with bright raspberry compote flavors as well as pine oil and juniper. Matt Kettmann
