Petite Sirah is still uncommon in Santa Barbara County, and blending it with 25% Roussanne is incredibly unique. But the combination is magical, starting with aromas of cocoa, toasted walnut, graphite and dark fruit on the nose. The palate is thick and heavy yet still vibrant with acidity, offering fresh a莽a铆, blueberry, charred meat and asphalt flavors atop chiseled tannins, with mocha on the finish. Matt Kettmann
