Swiftwater 2016 Cabernet Franc (Columbia Valley (WA))

Toast, dried cherry, cassis, licorice and herb aromas are out front, bringing appeal. Well-balanced, fresh-seeming fruit and barrel flavors follow, carrying through the warm finish. The tannins give a firm squeeze, needing time to soften. The balance kicks it up a notch. Sean P. Sullivan
