Talamonti 2017 Aternum (Trebbiano d'Abruzzo)

A luscious, ripe nose of melon, pineapple and lemon peel mixes with accents of hay and sweet spices. This barrel-aged Trebbiano is rounded and heavy on the palate, with melon rind and floral flavors that are a bit cloying on the midpalate. However, citrus-driven acidity and a slight bitter almond-skin note do well to firm up the finish. Alexander Peartree
