Talbott 2000 Diamond T Estate Chardonnay (Monterey County)

Pours an unusually dark gold for a Chard, and is picking up aged characteristics, with its fruit overshadowed by a trail mix of toasted cashews and apricots and yeasty sherry. Complex and fascinating for aficienados, but drink now, as it's likely to go downhill from here.
