86pointsTamar Ridge 2003 Pinot Noir (Tasmania)

Tamar Ridge's 2003 Pinot Noir is on the oaky side, with aromas of toast and caramel overshadowing the slightly mushroomy black-cherry fruit. The mouthfeel is round and the tannins soft, this just needs slightly more concentrated fruit and a lighter hand with the oak. Joe Czerwinski
