Tangent 2015 Paragon Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc (Edna Valley)

There's a curious and compelling saline quality to the nose of this widely available, well-priced bottling, reminiscent of a kelp-lined seashore. It's underscored by Anjou pear, underripe orange and flint scents while a faint hay flavor meets warmer nectarine elements on the easygoing palate. Matt Kettmann
