The sturdy but hardly overpowering nose of violets and bacon is pure Malbec. So is the black cherry fruit and notes of coffee that you get on the palate. A fairly clean cherries-and-vanilla finish is solid at first before fading quickly. Very typical for its class, but a tad thin and monotone.
