Dustings of salt and crushed stone lend freshness to plump, concentrated black-plum and cherry flavors in this wine. A Grenache-dominant blend augmented by Syrah and Mourvèdre, it's powerfully ripe but luscious in mouthfeel, rimmed by soft, velvety tannins and a smoky, charry finish. Delicious already, the wine should improve through 2029. Anna Lee C. Iijima
