Powerful and poised, with subdued but serious aromas of charred black fruit, raisin and coffee. Ripe but linear, with intense pie cherry, rhubarb and blackberry flavors. Ample acidity pushes it forward, while the tannins are tight, almost harsh. Will age for another five to eight years. Drink now with good food, or hold through 2005.
