Baked plum, mulberry, crushed rocks, tilled soil and cured meat aromas show on the nose of this single-vineyard bottling, which comes from a vineyard to the west of the already coastal Sta. Rita Hills. The palate is layered in black cherry, mulberry, shiitake and pine needle, leading into a richer finish of crème brûlée. Matt Kettmann
