Tedeschi 2004 Capitel Monte Olmi (Amarone della Valpolicella Classico)

Tedeschi is one of the most respected winemaking families in Valpolicella but recently (over the past three or four years), they have adopted a much sweeter—and consequently more astringent—style of Amarone. It won't appeal to everyone, but the wine does offer bountiful aromas of dark fruit, herbs and green peppercorn.
