Viognier is a tough variety to get right outside its home in Condrieu. This rich bottling is highly aromatic, with an ultraripe tropical, honeyed nose. The palate is reminiscent of (dry) fermented pineapple juice. It's intensely creamy, with just enough crunchy acidity, but there's a bitter funk at the finish and some heat from the alcohol.
