This is modern Rioja in all its glory. The nose is plump, a bit gaseous at first, and full of blackberry, raisin and prune aromas. This feels flush, choppy and oaky, with fine tannic structure. Flavors of blackberry, cassis, vanilla and cream finish subtly and woody, with a lactic aftertaste. Drink through 2025.
