Tempus Cellars 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon (Columbia Valley (WA))

The old vine fruit lends delicate details of herb, rock and pepper. The flavors are nicely mingled and evocative, and the addition of 10% Merlot from Seven Hills adds further complexity. The wine spent 22 months in 60% new French oak, but the barrel flavors are gentle and well-integrated. Paul Gregutt
