Tendril 2017 Extrovert Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

Winemaker Tony Rynders puts a lush coating of toasty oak around his Pinots, which makes for immediate appeal. This new release brings those flavors along with pretty plum and cherry fruit, mocha and black tea. There are fairly substantial tannins as well, suggesting that this may be enjoyed over the next half decade. Paul Gregutt
