Tenor 2016 Malbec (Columbia Valley (WA))

All the fruit for this wine comes from Stillwater Creek Vineyard on the Royal Slope. Barrel aromas are out front, with notes of cocoa, mint, flowers, plum, asphalt, green wood and blackberry. The palate is soft and textured, showing pleasing complexities on the finish. The wood shows a bit prominently at present, but there's a lot behind it. Sean P. Sullivan
