Tenuta di Biserno 2017 Biserno Red (Toscana)

A blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, this has aromas of black-skinned berries, French oak, underbrush and Mediterranean scrub. The firm, full-bodied palate features cassis, licorice, vanilla and a hint of grilled bell pepper alongside assertive, fine-grained tannins. It's still tightly wound and primary, so give it a few more years to fully integrate. Drink 2023–2029. Kerin O’Keefe
