Nice and solid, but not quite up to the level of previous vintages. Maybe it was the heat of the year, but this Crognolo has more raisin and heft than its predecessors. That said, it's also a touch jumpy and grabby. As for flavors, look for raspberry and earthy strawberry. Sangiovese with 10% Merlot.
