Terra Blanca 1999 Block 8 Syrah (Washington)

From Washington state's newest AVA, this Syrah's slightly stewed, dark red-berry fruit wears green herb and metallic notes. Medium-weight and soft on the tongue, it shows an almost apple-butter-like quality. Modest tannins and the apple note (perhaps a Washington thing from the old apple orchards?) again appear on the long finish.
