This special selection of syrah may have looked better in the fermenting vat, but it can't hold a candle to the winery's other Red Mountain bottling. Mushrooms, nail polish, saddle leather and other earthy scents overwhelm the varietal fruit. There's a lot going on, and some tasters will surely love it.
