This offering from a respected winery seems a touch ponderous and flat, as if it's starting to lose its zip already. The nose has vanilla and coconut, but the palate is dominated by sweet flavors that don't taste like anything in particular. The finish is rich and powerful, yet it leaves a vegetal aftertaste. —M.S.
