Well proportioned, this wine is meaty and barrel-heavy, concentrated in generous, spicy layers of dark, black fruit. Sentinel Oak is considered to be the oldest Syrah vineyard in the Sierra Nevada, established in 1982. The vines are showing the savory imprint of age.
