The aroma of this uber-sophisticated white wine is almost like vintage Champagne, combining light smoky, toasted notes with a figgy, lees-stirred freshness. The plush and mature flavors resemble toasted walnuts, marzipan, white peach and honey, yet this is a dry dinner wine, not a dessert. It will make a great pairing with paté on toast or maybe a white truffle risotto.
