Intricate layering of aromas and flavors point to the depth, complexity and age-worthiness of this wine. Notes of ripe, plump black cherry and blackberry fruits are interwoven with chocolate, forest floor, mushroom and a subtle background of smoked-meat umami and barnyard. The concentrated flavors stand up to the coarse, tannic structure, while elevated acidity keeps a vibrancy from start to lingering finish. While enjoyable now, the complexity of this wine will only evolve further with time. Stacy Briscoe
