Testarossa 2004 Rosella's Vineyard Pinot Noir (Santa Lucia Highlands)

Don't be misled by the pale color. This is an immense wine. On the first sip, it explodes in cherry, cola, coffee, cocoa and rhubarb flavors that take over the palate through the long finish. Fortunately it's totally dry and balanced, not too alcoholic, but rich enough in tannins for short-term aging. Drink now through 2009.
