Extremely expressive aromas of cola, morello cherry and brown sugar are very inviting on the nose of this blend of 51% Grenache, 21% Syrah, 14% Mourvèdre and 14% Counoise by former brewer Sherman Thacher. There is a flash of maple and black cherry on the palate, with oaky tannins providing structure and depth. Matt Kettmann
