This red (not gris) Trousseau is new to Oregon and may be the first in the country. There's an animal note to the aromas, with tight wild red fruit suggesting cranberry and raspberry. It's tart and firm, with a bit of a hole in the midpalate. But the flavors continue to compound and entertain, as the wine gains concentration through the finish and offers a taste of butter cookie as it resolves. Paul Gregutt
