The Eyrie Vineyards 2018 Chardonnay (Dundee Hills)

Editors' Choice

Not many pedigreed, iconic, pioneering American wineries put out estate-grown wines at this price. Wiht 60% of the grapes coming from the original 53-year-old vines, this delicious wine is scented with Bourbon barrel, flavored with ripe mixed apples, and finished with spicy pie crust. Yet it remains elegant, supple and precise; it's in no way over the top. Paul Gregutt
