The Horologist 2019 Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough)

Compared with the bombastic Sauvignons typical to this region, this wine is on the quiet side. After some swirling in the glass, citrus and floral aromas gently float from the glass: lime, honeysuckle and a hint of freshly cut grass. The palate is a little less cohesive. There's some textural weight, but the acidity is a bit forced and biting. Christina Pickard
