Coming from Red Heaven Vineyard, Grenache (53%) is in the lead on this wine, followed by Mourvèdre (22%), Counoise (14%) and Syrah. The aromas offer initially subdued notes of raspberry, orange rind, cranberry, gumdrop and herb. Fresh, tart flavors follow. There's a lot of tannin behind it all. Pair it with lamb with a cherry glaze. Sean P. Sullivan
