The Withers Winery 2015 Grenache (El Dorado)

Subtle and complex rather than simply fruity, this medium-bodied wine brings aromas of sunbaked earth, cedar and leather along with flavors like sour cherry, beef broth and anise that are compelling to taste. The texture is firm, moderately tannic and provides just enough tension so that the flavors seem to release slowly onto the taste buds. Jim Gordon
