From a vineyard planted in 1982 at an elevation of nearly 2,000 feet, this bottling begins with briny aromas of lemon and lime peel as well as a beach-sand and oyster-shell minerality, and a white-flower aspect. The palate is sharp and intense in texture, with energetic flavors of seared lemon peel and warm toast wrapped up very tightly. Drink now through 2037. Matt Kettmann
