Three Rivers 1999 Chardonnay (Columbia Valley (WA))

This is very appealing when first popped, with plenty of forward butter and caramel scents livening up the fresh fruit. Ready to drink right now, it retains enough acid to stand up to food, though the finish is a little bitter from all the new oak. Paul Gregutt
