Three Rivers 2003 Syrah (Columbia Valley (WA))

Very smooth, bright and juicy, it's got a nice mix of berries and chocolate, cassis and coffee. This has a zippy, tart edge to it, almost racy, but there are plenty of substantial tannins holding up the finish. Big, stylish and strong. Paul Gregutt
